Microneedling is extremely effective treatment and used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, surgical scaring, fine lines and wrinkles, skin tightening and texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, hair follicle production and pigment issues. It's also called skin needling, collagen induction therapy, and percutaneous collagen induction.

What Is MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is not a new treatment – it was first discovered by the Chinese through the use of Acupuncture needles. They recognised the healing power of mild trauma to the skin and body.  This non-mechanical treatment offers a holistic approach to many skin problems with outstanding and incredibly quick results.

The aim of Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy) is to stimulate the ​production of new collagen. Using the skin’s ability to heal itself, puncturing the dermis with microscopic needles triggers the production of new collagen. Microneedling produces channels in the dermis which sufficiently stimulate the body’s natural defences to repair the skin, producing concentrated amounts of collagen and proteins to the treated areas of skin.

How It WORKS

Microneedling pen causes minimally invasive precision micro-injuries of the epidermis and dermis, without causing open wounds or ablative damage. The puncturing channels close after a short time and these micro-injuries trigger the body’s wound healing cascade, which induces an increased collagen production in the treated skin. Microneedling pen triggers the construction of new tissue by stimulating healthy cell regeneration in precision-targeted areas that show the signs of aging. It effectively reduces wrinkles, tightens and thickens the skin, and – perhaps most impressively – fills and smooths scars.

Is There Any Down Time

                     AND DOES IT HURT

There is very little down time, although expect skin to look and feel mildly sunburnt for about 24 hours after the treatment. A topical cream lessens sensitivity on the face, so there is no pain during the treatment that you have no contraindications to the procedure.

Does This Treatment Have 

                  ANY SIDE EFFECTS

Side effects may include redness, flaking, and mild irritation on the treated areas. These will subside within 24-72 hours. This is a normal reaction and after about a week the new, brighter, smooth skin emerges.
